Big news! BIG! We’ve been keeping this a secret for a while, but we’re excited to finally announce the official launch of the Iron City Sound Contest, presented by our partners over at Iron City Beer! Launched in Spring 2011, Iron City Sound fosters the advancement of local musicians, spotlights regional and national acts in Pittsburgh and blends our hometown music culture and Iron City Beer into one mighty, satisfying groove. The Iron City Sound program has sponsored nearly 100 music related events since its inception. The commitment is part of Iron City Beer’s support of Pittsburgh’s thriving music scene and the artists and people who work hard to sustain it.
That’s where YOU come in. This is a competition for local Pittsburgh area musicians to become one of the next Iron City Sound Ambassadors; joining current ambassadors, Kellee Maize, DJ Bonics, 1,2,3, Dream Job and Bear Cub in representing the Iron City brand. Participants will enter for a chance at a $5,000 endorsement to support their musical endeavors and opportunities to perform at Iron City Sound events scheduled later in 2012. The contest is open to DJs/producers, emcees, solo artists and bands of all genres.
